VHHA Foundation works to improve the health of Virginians by bringing together hospitals, health systems, community partners, state agencies, and other stakeholders to address some of the Commonwealth’s most pressing health care challenges.

As the nonprofit affiliate of the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association, VHHA Foundation serves as a convener, partner, and catalyst for initiatives that strengthen Virginia’s health care system and the communities it serves.

Partnering with health care providers and community organizations to improve health outcomes and address the factors that influence health and wellbeing.

Rural Health

Supporting innovative approaches to strengthening health care access, workforce, and outcomes in Virginia’s rural communities.

Patient Safety and Quality

Advancing collaboration, education, and improvement efforts that support safe, high-quality care.

Health Care Workforce

Supporting strategies that strengthen Virginia’s health care workforce, expand training opportunities, and develop sustainable workforce pipelines.

Education and Leadership Development

Creating opportunities for health care leaders and professionals to learn, connect, and collaborate around the issues shaping health care today and in the future.

Grant and Program Administration

Working with public and private partners to translate funding opportunities into programs that support providers, communities, and statewide health priorities.
